Built around how caravans actually get built.
CaravanQC is quality-control software for caravan manufacturers and dealers. One system carries a van from chassis-in to customer handover: checklists on the floor, a live board in the office, and a signed certificate at the end.
What do the build checklists do?
Every van gets a job with stage-by-stage checklists — chassis in, fit-out, gas and electrical, water test, pre-delivery inspection, customer handover. The crew tick each check on a phone or tablet as the work happens, and every tick records who, when, and at which branch. Start from the included templates or build your own stages to match your line.
Because a check can't be skipped quietly, "she'll be right" turns into a named, timestamped decision. That alone changes behaviour on the floor.
How does multi-branch tracking work?
Each branch — factory, dealer yard, service centre — runs its own live QC board, and head office sees them all in one view: which vans are at which stage, what's flagged, what's overdue, what's ready for handover. Roles keep it clean: the floor sees its jobs, managers see their branch, owners see the lot.
The Monday phone-around dies. If a van's state isn't on the board, it didn't happen.
What's in the handover sign-off PDF?
When the final inspection is complete, CaravanQC generates a branded handover certificate: every stage, every check, who signed it off and when, with the customer and van details on top. Hand one copy to the customer at pickup and keep one on file.
Six months later, when a warranty conversation starts with "it was never checked" — you open the certificate. It usually ends the conversation.
How does issue flagging work?
Anyone on the floor can raise a flag against a check — a photo, a note, done in seconds from the same screen they're ticking. A flagged van can't be signed off until the rework is completed and the check passes again, and the whole trail stays on the job.
Faults stop travelling. The van that "was going to get fixed before pickup" actually does, because the system won't let it leave otherwise.
Does it connect to Cin7 and Xero?
Yes — optionally. Turn on the Cin7 or Xero connector in your settings and CaravanQC looks up the customer and order details when you create a job, so names, models and VINs land on checklists and certificates exactly as they appear in your source system. No double entry, no misspelt surname on a handover certificate.
Connectors are per-tenant and off by default: your credentials, entered by you, used only for lookups. Run with no integrations at all and everything still works — the connector layer is built to grow, with more ERP links on the roadmap.
Where does my data live — and can I get it out?
Your QC records are yours, and CaravanQC treats that literally. Point the backup connector at your own SharePoint (your Microsoft 365 tenancy, your credentials) and scheduled off-site backups land where you — not we — hold the keys. Prefer not to connect anything? Download a complete backup whenever you like.
Build records back warranty claims, compliance and resale value for years. They shouldn't be hostage to any software vendor — including us. That's the deal.
Who can see and do what?
Role-based access keeps the system honest: floor crew tick and flag, inspectors sign off stages, managers run branches, admins run the company. Every action is attributed — a tick without a name is worthless in a dispute, so there's no such thing here.
Passwords are stored salted and hashed, sessions are signed, and sign-in with Google is available if that's how your team already works.
